Winter Woolly Walk 2019

Our family-friendly Winter Woolly Walk is back and we would love to see you step out once again and wrap up warm in support of local families living with cancer! It’s time to rally the family, gather your friends, and join us for a beautiful walk in aid of Cancer Fund for Children.

On Saturday 23rd February we have 4 picturesque walks for you to choose from. Each walk ranges from 3 to 5 miles and is, as always, suitable for the whole family. Walkers are free to stroll leisurely or you can walk as briskly as you wish – just as long as everyone is having fun! Warming refreshments will be provided at the end to warm your hands along with some fun family activities for the kids while you sit and relax.

How will your participation help?

Cancer Fund for Children’s mission is to rebuild young lives devastated by cancer. Every week in Northern Ireland, three children, teenagers or young adults, aged between 0-24 years old, are diagnosed with cancer. Cancer Fund for Children also support children who have a parent diagnosed with cancer.

By fundraising and taking part in one of our Winter Woolly Walks, you will be helping Cancer Fund for Children to provide a range of practical, emotional and financial support. Our support is not just focused on the young person but is built around the whole family. Our team of experienced Specialists help families cope with the impact cancer has on their lives, supporting them through life during and after treatment and, in some cases, bereavement.

Cancer Fund for Children receive less than 0.5% government funding and rely on the generosity of local communities to help us offer a lifeline of support to these families.
