RSPB NI Belfast WOW Spring Walk

Belfast's Window on Wildlife

100 Airport Road West
Co. Belfast

Join our reserve warden for a guided springtime stroll at Belfast WOW for a tour around the reserve. Spring is a busy time to explore the reserve. Nearly all of our wintering birds will have moved up to the arctic region to breed, but some black-tailed godwits will remain throughout the summer. However, this is the breeding season and anything could turn up. After touring around WOW, we will go to Holywood Banks/Tillysburn River, another important site on the reserve. We will stop for lunch at the Harbour Meadows nature haven, a site not usually open to the public, then take a short walk through the site and to see butterflies and plant life coming into bloom. We’ll try and spot linnets (pictured) and meadow pipits in Harbour Meadows too, Please bring a packed lunch and wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear in case of inclement weather. Wellington boots essential! Price: £20/£16 RSPB members Booking essential. Call our secure booking line 028 9064 5630 (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm) or email
