Discover Discworld through art, film and theatre at Larne Museum & Arts Centre in 2019!
Paul Kidby is best known for being the ‘artist of choice’ for the award winning writer Sir Terry Pratchett. He has designed the Discworld book jackets since 2002 as well as many other Discworld publications. He has a huge fanbase internationally with over 34,000 followers on Facebook!
This exhibition presents a wonderful collection of Paul’s drawings, oil paintings and watercolours. Here you will find favourite Pratchett characters, book covers and some lesser known Discworld art work. There is also a range of Paul’s work from his own projects including the recently published book 'The Charmed Realm'.
Charmed Realm and Discworld merchandise will be available for sale during the course of the exhibition.
The exhibition is open Monday-Saturday, 10.00am-4.30pm.
The programme also includes a screening of the short film 'Troll Bridge' on Saturday 7th September at 3.00pm.
There will also be a licensed reading of ‘Wyrd Sisters’, a play adapted for the stage by Stephen Briggs based on the book by Terry Pratchett, by Larne Drama Circle on Thursday 31st October 2019 at 7.30pm.
'Troll Bridge' and 'Wyrd Sisters' are free events, however places are limited and must be booked in advance by contacting Larne Museum.
