Foraging Walk at Cabin Wood, Cookstown
Explore nature’s larder at Cabin Wood this autumn and learn which tasty treats are good to eat from the hedgerows and highways.
During the walk we will go through the basics of foraging as we search and discover wild edible species that lie all around us in the woodland. Your professional forager will introduce you to a number of edible species; giving you tips on harvesting, correct identification and possible look-alikes.
Bring along a picnic and join us for light refreshments by the river after the walk. You will also have the opportunity to try some pre-made wild food jam.
