Ring of Gullion Lúnasa Festival 2019
Venues across the Ring of Gullion
89 Drumintee Road
Come along to the Ring of Gullion Lúnasa Festival and participate in slow adventure, immersing yourself in the rich landscape, culture and heritage of the area. Take time out of a busy summer schedule to slow down and be mindful, following in the footsteps of the Celts or feeding your senses on Feede Mountain, guided by experienced meditation coaches and guides.
You can ‘slow down’ on our wide range of guided walks, led by passionate local Ambassadors. The perfect opportunity to explore historical sites across the area. If you don’t fancy walking, take a lazy gallivant over Gullion, by minibus, and learn all about Ireland’s most mystical mountain. Other bus tours give you the opportunity to experience an overview of the Ring of Gullion and wider South Armagh area. For the crafty among you, try your hand at making fused glass artwork.
However, if you want a bit of excitement in your visit and you’re brave enough, you can come along to the Geotastic Extravaganza and meet two roaming and roaring dinosaurs – Roary the T-Rex and Red the Raptor. No one has been eaten yet, but there’s a first time for everything! Alternatively, learn how to start fires and build shelters at one of the Zombie Apocalypse Survival Training sessions.
This Festival is part of the Ring of Gullion Landscape Partnership Scheme, funded by Heritage Lottery Fund and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
