An Evening of Myth and Music - Samhain's Shadow
Navan Centre and Fort
An Evening of Myth and Music - Samhain's Shadow at Navan Centre and Fort takes place on Saturday 30th October at 8pm.
Enjoy a night of Celtic celebration with myth, music, draíocht (magic) & imbas (poetic inspiration) with Candlelit Tales and TAU.
The evening events will include dramatic storytelling about Ireland’s epic war tale An Táin Bó Cúailnge. A lasting memory to keep the oldest tale in Ireland alive, and to never forget Cúchulainn's name. Re-told with passion and reverence by Aron and Sorcha Hegarty and accompanied by pulsating music that provides the story's heartbeat, performed by Rúairi O’Shea, Oisin Ryan and Alan Homan.
The night of storytelling will be followed by the evocative sounds of TAU as they chant, sing and call us into the powerful energy that surrounds this ancient Celtic festival. Led by Shaun Mulrooney, the Irish born, Berlin-based musician, the exciting collection of sonic travellers and fellow musicians on stage will make this night one to remember. "These bold and daring songs elevate TAU (& The Drones of Praise) as a cut above the rest." – Irish Times
