"Introduction to Astrophotography" by Paul Evans
Armagh Observatory and Planetarium
Modern cameras have evolved to the point where astrophotography is no longer the preserve of an elite requiring very expensive equipment and huge skill levels. With fairly basic equipment and some knowledge it is possible to take photographs of the night sky that are aesthetically pleasing and educationally fulfilling. In this talk amateur astronomer and photographer Paul Evans will outline the basic methods involved, without getting too technical and will show and explain a number of his own astrophotos and will do his best to answer any questions the audience may have on this wonderful hobby.
