Why does an Observatory have a library? Ever since 1790 we have relied on an extensive collection of textbooks, catalogues and journals to help our astronomers find the information they need to make new discoveries. Our library contains over 4,000 books and over 10,000 journals. Our staff and students will be on hand to answer any questions and show you some of their favourite books from the shelves!
