{"id":10459,"date":"2015-12-03T22:27:45","date_gmt":"2015-12-03T21:27:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=10459"},"modified":"2015-12-03T22:28:03","modified_gmt":"2015-12-03T21:28:03","slug":"antrim-christmas-carol-concert","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2015\/12\/antrim-christmas-carol-concert\/","title":{"rendered":"Antrim Christmas Carol Concert"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Antrim and Newtownabbey Borough Council will be spreading some Christmas sparkle as they host their annual Christmas Carol Concert on Saturday 12<sup>th<\/sup> December at 3.30pm at Antrim Forum.<\/h1>\n<figure id=\"attachment_10460\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-10460\" style=\"width: 434px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/press4.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-large wp-image-10460  \" title=\"press\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/12\/press4-904x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"434\" height=\"491\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-10460\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">:  Isabella, Bethany &amp; Grace practising their singing for the Carol Concert.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The Senior Wind Band from the Education Authority, North Eastern Region will add musical magic to the voices of the children from primary schools throughout the Borough, capturing the true spirit of Christmas through readings and song. This year\u2019s event will be hosted by BBC\u2019s Claire McCollum.<\/p>\n<p>Mayor of Antrim and Newtownabbey, Councillor Thomas Hogg said \u201cIt promises to be an enjoyable afternoon for all the family. At such a busy season, it is lovely to take some time out to enjoy traditional Christmas Carols, readings and prayers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Admission is free however there will be a door collection with all proceeds donated to the Mayor\u2019s nominated charities: ABF The Soldier\u2019s Charity, Autism NI and Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children.
