American singer song-writer Kimmie Rhodes takes to the stage on Thursday 21 January at The Old Courthouse Antrim.<\/h1>\n

\"\"<\/a>Kimmie’s promotional tours have created a solid fan base across the U.K., Ireland and Europe where she and her band regularly headline major music festivals.<\/p>\n

Labelling the sound she hoped to create her latest album \u201cCowgirl Boudoir\u201d, Kimmie embarked on a retro-cowgirl-hippie-chick musical experiment with fellow collaborators, quirky cool featured guest artists, Johnny Goudie and producer, Gabriel Rhodes, writing and \u00a0singing songs that fuse traditional country sounds with influences from the 60’s-80s into a seamless blend.<\/p>\n

As an artist having; grown up attending musical theatre classes as a child, survived teen-hood on the streets of Lubbock, Texas during the Dylan and British Invasion era, made the pilgrimage \u201cback to the country\u201d in the great Austin convergence of the 70s.\u00a0 She received a degree in fun from Jack Clement\u2019s Cowboy Arms Hotel and Recording Spa and finally passed \u201cWhat Would Willie Do 101\u201d with flying colours as his prot\u00e9g\u00e9 and duet partner deemed the \u201cOutlaw Sweetheart\u201d of the new millennium, she\u2019s found her sound.<\/p>\n

Rhodes\u2019 beloved Sunbird Studios House Band delivers a m\u00e9lange of steel guitar, Dobro, ukulele, mandolin, electric sitar, B3 organ and percussions that underscore this edgy autobiography with cowpunkadelical perfection.<\/p>\n
