Sailing into Bangor for the event is the impressive tall ship \u201cThe Mercedes\u201d which will be moored alongside The Eisenhower Pier and open to the public for both days of the festival.<\/h1>\n<p>This is the Mercedes\u2019 second visit to Bangor, having previously been here in 2014. She\u2019s a fully square rigged two-mast tall ship with 900 square meters sail area on 18 sails.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/video.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2F128997763818679%2Fvideos%2F1171087929609652%2F&#038;show_text=0&#038;width=560\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowTransparency=\"true\" allowFullScreen=\"true\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>If you fancy sailing the high seas on the spectacular \u201cMercedes,\u201d there are opportunities available for hour-long sailings on both the morning and evening of June 4 &amp; 5. There will be morning sailings at 9am on both days, then Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 8pm. Tickets cost \u00a315 each for the morning sailings and \u00a320 for the evening and are available now at Bangor Visitor Information Centre, Ards Visitor Information Centre and North Down Museum. Tickets are also available online at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.visitardsandnorthdown.com\/\">www.visitardsandnorthdown.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>This year\u2019s Sea Bangor, is absolutely packed with something to do for everyone. Situated in a tented village in Quay Street car park, highlights of the festival will include the \u201cBig Bangor BBQ\u201d competition hosted by SERC which will include demonstrations by celebrity chefs, sausage making challenges and lots more. Over in the kid\u2019s tent \u201cTiddlers,\u201d Cahoots NI will be performing a special illusion show and The Dockside Emporium promises to be a world of entertainment and wonder with demonstrations and crafts from lots of local artists.\u00a0 With maritime themed street theatre, a gourmet food tent, a fantastic live music programme, an aerial display from the Twister Aerobatic Team, Jet Lev demonstrations and so much more, Sea Bangor is definitely not to be missed!<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the event, Ards and North Down Borough Council\u2019s Events Officer, Wendy Smith said; \u201cSea Bangor is always a highlight of the Ards and North Down Borough Council\u2019s Events Programme. It\u2019s a fantastic event with something on offer for all the family and we would encourage everyone to come on down and join in the fun.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sea Bangor will be open from 10am to 6pm on Saturday 4 June and Noon to 6pm on Sunday 5.
