{"id":1267,"date":"2010-05-27T11:16:24","date_gmt":"2010-05-27T10:16:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/?p=1267"},"modified":"2010-05-27T11:16:24","modified_gmt":"2010-05-27T10:16:24","slug":"summer-entertainment-returns-to-bangor%e2%80%99s-seafront","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2010\/05\/summer-entertainment-returns-to-bangor%e2%80%99s-seafront\/","title":{"rendered":"Summer Entertainment returns to Bangor\u2019s seafront"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/pic1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-1268\" title=\"pic1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/05\/pic1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"179\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a>For many people the weekend is a time to get a lie in, or to do the weekly shop, or maybe if they\u2019re feeling really adventurous they\u2019ll even do some hoovering!\u00a0 There are however going to be plenty of reasons to avoid these \u2018fun activities\u2019 and instead get out on the streets of Bangor over the summer months to enjoy free Street Theatre Performances, beginning on Saturday 5 June 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Forming part of North Down\u2019s special programme of Summer Entertainment, these fantastic Street Theatre Performances will take place every Saturday in June and from July, every Saturday &amp; Sunday until the end of August at McKee Clock at the seafront, 3-5pm<\/p>\n<p>Commenting on the event, Wendy Smith, North Down Borough Council said, \u201cWe are thrilled to be able to bring so many home-grown performers to Bangor as part of our free summer entertainment programme, that we are sure will leave audiences wanting more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The entertainment begins on Saturday 5 June 2010 at the McKee Clock at the seafront with Jim &amp; Dr Nick and their unique display of fire juggling and unicycling.<\/p>\n<p>For further information please contact Bangor Tourist Information Centre, Quay Street, Bangor.
