Having first hit the limelight in the 1980\u2019s with the group \u2018Fairground Attraction\u2019 [who enjoyed huge chart success with their debut No.1 single \u2018Perfect\u2019 and album \u2018First Of A Million Kisses\u2019], Eddi went on to collaborate on many celebrated projects throughout the years, famously harmonizing with Annie Lennox while touring with \u2018The Eurythmics\u2019. However, it has been Eddi\u2019s subsequent solo albums that have cemented her image as a powerful figure in British music.<\/p>\n<p>With an MBE for outstanding contributions to the arts, three BRIT awards, a number one single and eight critically acclaimed solo albums, what sets Eddi apart is the depth and quality of the performance. Support act for the evening is Ultan Conlon. Tickets are priced \u00a317.50.<\/p>\n<p>Internationally renowned for their \u2018lyrical sound\u2019 [Strad], The Cremona Quartet will visit Armagh on Friday 24 February with a programme featuring works by Beethoven and Mozart. The Italian quartet\u2019s list of accolades is vast. They have graced the stages of the world\u2019s most prestigious venues and festivals and have won numerous international competitions [Vittorio Veneto Competition, Cremona International Competition, Web Concert Hall Competition]. The quartet has released several recordings on the Audite label to critical acclaim, with Gramophone Magazine describing them as \u2018nothing less than life-affirming\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>The programme for the evening will include Puccini Crisantemi | Mozart String Quartet No. 16 in E flat major K 428 | Beethoven String Quartet Op.132.
