Today MCD Productions confirmed that MUSE<\/strong> will headline Belfast Vital on August 23rd<\/sup>\u00a0at Belfast\u2019s Boucher Road Playing Fields with tickets going on sale next Friday, May 5th<\/sup> at 9am.<\/h1>\n

\"\"MUSE<\/strong> will be joined by special guests BIFFY CLYRO,<\/strong> NOTHING BUT THIEVES <\/strong>and Dublin band FANGCLUB<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

MUSE<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u>\u00a0 Since their debut in 1994, Muse<\/em><\/strong> have released seven studio albums and have won\u00a0numerous awards, including two\u00a0Grammy\u2019s, two\u00a0Brit Awards, five\u00a0MTV Europe Music Awards, eight\u00a0NME Awards and they have sold over 20 million albums worldwide.<\/p>\n

Last year Drones<\/em><\/strong>, the group\u2019s seventh album, topped the UK charts whilst simultaneously topping the charts in the USA, a first for the band. In total the album reached No 1 in a staggering 23 countries. In 2016 Drones<\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>won the\u00a0Grammy for Best Rock Album\u00a0at the\u00a058th Grammy Awards, the band headlined the\u00a0Glastonbury Festival\u00a0for a third time and they toured arenas across the world including sold out shows at Dublin\u2019s 3Arena<\/em><\/strong> and The SSE Arena, Belfast.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

This summer Muse <\/em><\/strong>will headline Reading & Leeds<\/em><\/strong> and today it has been confirmed that they will also headline Belfast Vital<\/em><\/strong> on August 23rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n

BIFFY CLYRO<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u> Last year Biffy Clyro<\/em><\/strong> released their seventh album, Ellipsis – <\/em><\/strong>a number one record in the United Kingdom, Germany, Ireland and Switzerland and has since hit gold status selling over 100,000 copies. The band followed Ellipsis<\/em><\/strong> with a remarkable run of huge scale touring which set their riotous energy to a dazzling visual spectacle.<\/p>\n

Last summer Biffy performed to almost 200,000 people when they played their biggest Scottish show to date at Glasgow\u2019s Bellahouston Park<\/em><\/strong>, headlined sets at the Reading & Leeds Festivals<\/em><\/strong> and Belsonic<\/em><\/strong> at Titanic Belfast<\/em><\/strong>. The band ended the year with a triumphant UK and Ireland arena tour, which included shows at The SSE Arena<\/em><\/strong>, Belfast<\/em><\/strong> and the 3Arena, Dublin<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year is already shaping up to be just as momentous as Biffy Clyro are now confirmed for their first headline set at Download<\/em><\/strong> and are booked to perform at this year\u2019s Belfast Vital.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

NOTHING BUT THIEVES<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong> The past eighteen months have been a whirlwind of sold out shows, chart topping records and a critically acclaimed album from Southends finest band.\u00a0 Nothing But Thieves <\/em><\/strong>are now riding the wave of a global buzz which has already well and truly ignited in the States.\u00a0As well as sold out shows in the UK, Japan and USA they have recently completed a successful run of European arena shows with fellow Brits, Muse. This summer Nothing But Thieves<\/em><\/strong> will play Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds<\/em><\/strong> and are now confirmed for Belfast Vital<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
