{"id":14504,"date":"2017-07-03T19:15:46","date_gmt":"2017-07-03T18:15:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=14504"},"modified":"2017-07-03T19:17:23","modified_gmt":"2017-07-03T18:17:23","slug":"14504","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2017\/07\/14504\/","title":{"rendered":"Jacqueline from whatsonni.com shares her pick of what&#8217;s on this weekend across NI"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Down<\/h1>\n<p>Ards are taking on the challenge of presenting outdoor performances every Friday lunchtime in Conway Square from 7th July to 25th August.\u00a0 Picture it now: the sun is shining down, crowds are eating ice-cream and children are laughing to the backdrop of a spectacular live performance!\u00a0 With everything from music to circus performance and comedy, Conway Square in Newtownards will be the place to be on Fridays between 12.30pm and 1.30pm throughout July and August.\u00a0 In the event of inclement weather, the performances will move into Ards Art Centre.<\/p>\n<h1>Armagh<\/h1>\n<p>Portstewart isn\u2019t the only home to champions from the 5th to 9th July!\u00a0 The Navan Centre &amp; Fort, Armagh was the home to famous champion warriors who used the skills of the \u2018stick\u2019 to perfect their skills, as\u00a0warriors on\u00a0the battlefield!\u00a0\u00a0Champion Warriors at Navan will\u00a0show you how to prepare\u00a0your warrior skills using\u00a0these \u2018sticks\u2019 also\u00a0known as the hurl!\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0So while the golfing warriors thrash out the golf on the North Coast, visit the Navan Centre and see have you got what it takes to become a great Celtic Warrior!<\/p>\n<h1>Fermanagh<\/h1>\n<p>This July and August\u00a0SHARE\u00a0will be providing Guided Canoe &amp; Kayak tours of Enniskillen\u00a0Island &amp; Castle Island (1 hr) and Devenish island (2 hr) as part of the new Enniskillen Activity Hub based at\u00a0Waterways Ireland Headquarters!\u00a0 If you fancy an\u00a0outdoor adventure\u00a0where you can also learn about the rich history and the amazing wildlife and eco-system that surrounds us here in Fermanagh then taking part in one of our tours is the perfect choice for you!<\/p>\n<h1>Tyrone<\/h1>\n<p>This Saturday 8th July, The Burnavon Theatre Cookstown\u2019s annual July Celebrations Concert brings you a fantastic line up of music and dance to enjoy! This promises to be an evening which not only showcases musical talent in the district, but which introduces the Bright Light Dance Troupe from Belfast and Cup O\u2019Joe from Co. Armagh. Completing our 2017 line up is KasK, who will be performing a fusion of traditional Scottish and Irish music, guaranteeing top notch entertainment.\u00a0 The evening will be compered by entertainer and comedian Gary Wilson, who is sure to light up the room with his banter and shenanigans!<\/p>\n<h1>Derry\/Londonderry<\/h1>\n<p>Treat the kids this summer and enjoy some family time with blockbuster family movies at the Waterside Theatre in Derry, great value that won&#8217;t break the bank!
