Portrush will resound to the strains of hundreds of pipers on Saturday 19th August when the North West Pipe Band Championships commence at 11:00 hrs. Highland dancing competitions will be held on Friday 18th August at the same venue from 10:00 – 17:00 hrs.<\/p>\n

The Summer Fireworks Extravaganza takes place at Ramore Head, Portrush. The rocky headland, at the edge of the sea is a great location to view the firework display. Visit Ireland’s traditional oldest fair which takes place on the last Monday and Tuesday of August.
\nThis year’s Fair will be officially launched with a spectacular seafront fireworks display organised by Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council on Sunday night 27th August. This new addition to the programme will provide a memorable opening to a much loved event.<\/p>\n
