Dawn (1928) is a silent film that tells the story of World War 1 martyr Edith Cavell, a nurse who risked her own life by rescuing prisoners of war from the Germans.\u00a0 She was aided by Madame Ada Bodart, a Newry-born woman who plays herself in the film.\u00a0\u00a0The movie is accompanied by pianist Darius Battiwalla, who has composed a score specifically for the movie.\u00a0Showing at Newry Town Hall, Friday 2nd February at 8.00pm<\/p>\n
