1.       Out\nto Lunch Festival<\/a>, Belfast, 4 \u2013 27 January. Now in its fourteenth\nyear this festival specialises in lunch-based art solutions in the Cathedral\nQuarter and beyond. 2.       Tutored\nWhiskey Tasting Evening<\/a>, Belfast, 17 January. Learn more about\nNorthern Ireland\u2019s oldest whiskey producer Bushmills with a tutored tasting\nsession at the Crown Bar, sampling Old Bushmills original, Black Bush, 10yr\nsingle malt, 16yr single malt and 21yr single malt as well as their latest whiskey\nThe Sexton.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.       Art\nin the Orchard<\/a>, Portadown, 19 January. Join professional visual\nartist Deborah Malcomson for a unique day of creativity at Long Meadow Farm.\nThis will be a unique opportunity to get out into the orchards and enjoy the\nchallenge of producing your own creative response to the surrounding apple\ntrees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.       Coming\nHome: Art and the Great Hunger<\/a>, Derry~Londonderry, 19 January \u2013 16\nMarch. Coming Home: Art and the Great Hunger, the acclaimed Famine art\ncollection, currently on loan from Ireland’s Great Hunger Museum at Quinnipiac\nUniversity will be on display at Cult\u00farlann U\u00ed Chan\u00e1in. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.       \u2018If\nYou Can Find Me\u2019 : A celebration of the music of Stephen Sondheim<\/a>, Newry, 17 January.  A celebration\nof the music of Stephen Sondheim. Newry Chamber Music continues its 2018\/19\nseason with a concert featuring rising stars from the Northern Ireland Opera\nStudio Artists programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.       Brahms\u2019s\n2nd Piano Concerto<\/a>, Belfast, 18 January.\nPerformed by soloist pianist Boris Giltburg, Brahms’s Second Piano Concerto\nopens gently, but as it unfolds and expands it brings the impressive concert to\na richly romantic close at the Ulster Hall. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.       I\nLove Burns Night!<\/a>, Belfast, 19 January. Join the Ulster Orchestra\nand friends at the Waterfront Hall for a ceilidh\u2019s-worth of toe-tapping jigs,\nreels and, of course, the songs and poetry of \u2018The Bard\u2019 himself, Robert Burns!\nThe Orchestra\u2019s annual Burns Night concert is the ultimate celebration of the\ncultural links between Scotland and Northern Ireland. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.       Traditional\nIrish Bread Making<\/a>, Killinchy, 19 January. Join NI Food Tours in an\n18th century thatched cottage on the shores of Strangford Lough for a truly\nauthentic traditional Irish bread making experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.       A\nCostume Cavalcade<\/a>, Armagh, until 2 March 2019.  This exhibition\nat the Armagh County Museum tells the story of dress over the last three\nhundred years showcasing some of the most important examples in the collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.   Close\nTo Home<\/a>, Limavady, until 25 January. Roe Valley Arts hosts this\nexhibition of work by artists of the Puffin Artists Group CIC co-ordinated by\nthe lovely Puffin Gallery in Ballycastle and including works in ceramics,\nglass, paintings, jewellery and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
