  1. Foraging\nas in St Patrick\u2019s time at Navan Centre and Fort<\/a>, Armagh, 18 March.  Have\na go at foraging for your food as part of this drop-in family event \u2013 find it,\nsee how it was cooked and then taste it for a real experience of how food was\nprepared during St. Patrick’s days in the early Christian era.  Suitable for all ages, this event is\npart of the Home of St Patrick Festival. <\/li>
  2. St\nPatrick\u2019s Family Day in Banbridge<\/a>, Banbridge, 18 March. <\/strong>Solitude\nPark will be buzzing with its annual St. Patrick’s Family Day. With free\nactivities, including live music, workshops and entertainment there is\nsomething for everyone to enjoy. <\/li>
  3. Traditional\nUlster Scots Bread Making<\/a>, Belfast, 19-22 March. A baking demonstration with local cook and bread maker extraordinaire\nFreddie Strickland at the Discover Ulster-Scots Centre.  Freddie shows how baking methods have\ndeveloped throughout the years and explains how to pack in the flavour while\nbaking.  Learn about traditional farls,\ntreacle farls, soda bread, potato bread and much more. To top off the session,\nsample some of the tasty handmade bakes on offer.<\/li>
  4. The Rocky Horror Show<\/a>, Belfast, 18-23 March.  Richard\nO\u2019Brien\u2019s legendary musical masterpiece returns for 2019 starring Strictly Come\nDancing champion Joanne Clifton as Janet and a1\u2019s Ben Adams as Brad.  Featuring timeless classics including\nthe pelvic-thrusting Time Warp, The Rocky Horror Show is the story of two\nsqueaky clean college kids whose car breaks down outside a creepy mansion where\nthey meet the outrageous Dr Frank\u2019n\u2019Furter for an adventure they\u2019ll never\nforget\u2026<\/li>
  5. Music In The Chamber \u2013 Daoiri Farrell<\/a>  Bangor,\n21 March.  With his powerful and\ndistinctive voice, Daoir\u00ed Farrell has been championed by the likes of Christy\nMoore and Donal Lunny.  Six months after\nreleasing the album \u2018True Born Irishman\u2019, Daoir\u00ed picked up two BBC Radio 2 Folk\nAwards in 2017 for Best Newcomer and Best Traditional Track.  He brings his show to the evocative setting\nof Bangor Castle for this special performance. \n<\/li>
  6. Movie Night at Crumlin Road Gaol<\/a> Belfast, 21 March. Start the evening with a\nmeal in Cuffs Bar & Grill before being led on a Paranormal Tour, finally\nsettling down in B wing of Belfast\u2019s most infamous jail.  The chilling Paranormal Experience visits the\nGaol\u2019s \u2018hot spots\u2019 where spooky activity has been reported and also takes in\nthe Tunnel, Gaol Circle, C-Wing, Hangman\u2019s Cell and more!  There is no place in Belfast more suited to\nwatching a classic horror movie.<\/li>
  7. Desert Island Poems<\/a>, Magherafelt, 21 March. Picture the scene:\nstranded on a desert island, what three poetry collections would you take if\nthey were all you had to read?  To mark\nWorld Poetry Day, celebrated poets Frank Ormsby, Alice Lyons and Moyra\nDonaldson talk about the books they would choose, what those collections mean\nto them and in true desert island style, which single volume of Seamus Heaney\u2019s\npoetry they would also like to be stranded with!<\/li>
  8. Leningrad!<\/a>, Belfast, 22 March.  Written\nduring the siege of Leningrad, Shostakovich\u2019s powerful Seventh Symphony tells\nthe story of the Russian people\u2019s resistance to the Nazis, their dogged hope\nand individual courage. This performance by the Ulster Orchestra also takes in\nRichard Strauss\u2019s iconic Also Sprach Zarathustra, made famous by the inclusion\nof its Sunrise in 2001: A Space Odyssey. <\/li>
  9. Roe Valley Speciality Market<\/a>, Limavady, 23 March.  If\nyou love local fresh food, quirky handmade crafts and fine art, visit one of\nthe market days at Drumceatt Square, Limavady town’s communal public space\nlocated beside the Roe Valley Arts and Cultural Centre.  The friendly outdoor market boasts a\nrange of speciality food, art and handmade crafts. Enjoy the colourful\ndisplays, the delicious aromas, the taste of fresh food produce and the bustle\nof traders and customers.<\/li>
  10. Living History \u2013 Norman Knights at Dundrum\nCastle<\/a>  Newcastle, 23 March.  At\nthis Living History event, 13th century Norman knights and their household will\ndemonstrate their weapons and fighting skills on the Castle lawns.  Take a trip back in time and witness\nthe knights of Dundrum as they would have battled and learn more about the\nswords and weapons of that time.  Suitable\nfor the whole family, this event provides both a fun and educational experience.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
