Artist and print maker Robert Sellar gifted a collection of his work to\nFlowerfield Arts Centre before he died at the venerable age of 92. A quiet man,\nhe was a master print maker and his work compares with other post-modernist\nprintmakers like Julian Trevelyan and Eric Ravilious. This\nnew exhibition explores, through local connections with international events,\nthe impact of the closing stages of World War One, the outbreak of Spanish Flu,\nthe General Election in 1918, the role of women and industrial disputes. The\nexperiences of local people, on the battlefront and across the Causeway area,\ncan be heard through letters, diaries and newspaper reports of the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
