The Festival runs 26th and 27th in various venues throughout Coleraine town and more information can be found on www.rhythmofthebann.com <br> <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Details for The Rhythm of the\nBann festival in Coleraine have been launched.&nbsp;\nThe two-day programme of musical extravaganza will take place this April\non the 26th and 27th in various venues throughout Coleraine town. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The perfect weekend to round\noff the Easter holidays, will see a number of specifically themed, choral,\nmusical and theatre style performances and shows for all the family. All\nbrought to you under the artful direction of our very own greatest showman,\nPeter Corry on behalf of the Causeway Coast &amp; Glens Borough Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nMayor of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council Councillor Brenda Chivers\nsaid: \u201cRhythm of the Bann is set to fill Coleraine with song, dance and theatre\nfor what is set to be an unforgettable weekend of unique entertainment. Whether\nyou are a performer or a music fan, the programme will showcase the very best in\nthe sector paving the way for the exciting return of a choral celebration to\nColeraine next year. The town has a rich history in this field and we are\nlooking forward to building on this and developing what is set to be a very\nexciting annual event.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Corry of Peter Corry\nProduction added, \u201cRhythm of the Bann 2019 will offer international performance\nand workshops that will not only be engaging but educational and of a very high\nstandard, with high quality international coaches and performers involved in\nthe festival.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Friday evening St Malachy\u2019s\nChurch will be home to three wonderful choirs.&nbsp;\nAdoro, Cantemus and Dalriada\nChamber Choir.&nbsp; Adoro has performed at many\nprestigious events in Northern Ireland including services of thanksgiving for\nHM The Queen for the Diamond Jubilee and 90th Birthday.&nbsp; Local Choir Cantemus sing a mixture of ancient &amp; modern repertoire,\nfrom Bach to Stopford; Wesley to Parry &#8211; and the Dalriada Chamber Choir voices blend\nbeautifully to deliver chilling harmonies, rousing emotions and tapping toes. Local\nviolinist Jasmine Morris, a member of the Ulster Youth Orchestra and former\nwinner of the Robert Lewin\nScholarship, will also add to this musical\nevening. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On Saturday evening, The Showman Is Coming! THE Northern Ireland born\nbut internationally renowned Peter Corry will lead a cast of dynamic dancers,\nsingers and talented performers.&nbsp; The\nShowman Is Coming combines the passion of Moulin Rouge, the\nspectacle of Barnum and the energy of The Greatest Showman, all under one roof\nat the Lodge Hotel.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Peter Corry\nProductions strongly recommends this event is also the perfect opportunity for\nyoung people of all ages to get involved with the offer of world class workshops\naimed at enhancing their artistic side. These events are of world class standard\nand not to be missed on Fri 26<sup>th<\/sup> and Sat 27<sup>th<\/sup>April. This\nis also a great way to prepare to take part in next years\u2019 Festival. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThank You For The Music\u201d is a\nworkshop in the Town Hall, led by Ashley Fulton who is originally from\nMagherafelt and one of the top vocal coaches in the UK. Three sessions for a\nmix of ages and abilities are available. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Saturday workshop will\ntake place in the Methodist Church Hall and is aptly entitled, \u201cOn\nBroadway\u201d.&nbsp; Coleraine is proud to welcome\nIan Weinberger who is currently the Associate Music Director of the smash hit\nmusical Hamilton on Broadway.&nbsp; His other\nBroadway conducting credits include Kinky Boots and Titanic (Lincoln Center).&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The international hit, Hamilton: An American Musical, is about the life\nof American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, and is a multiple Tony, Grammy,\nOlivier and Pulitzer Award winning show. In the words of a former American\nPresident \u201cwhere rap is the language of revolution and hip hop it\u2019s urgent\nsoundtrack\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Details of all shows, tickets\nand how to get involved in the workshops, can be found on <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rhythmofthebann.com\">www.rhythmofthebann.com<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The\nRhythm of the Bann Festival will enthuse, engage and stir passion in everyone\nwith a love of music, song and dance. Music to suit all tastes from musical\ntheatre, gospel, jazz and choral to blues, swing, anthems and hymns, and hip\nhop!
