Rufus Wainwright, Echo and the\n     Bunnymen, Anna Calvi, and Teenage Fanclub are among some of the star names\n     descending on Belfast\u2019s historic cultural quarter this year. The 11-day extravaganza will feature over 100 events\n     in over 20 venues across the city centre, as the Festival celebrates its\n     20th anniversary with a bumper programme of live music, comedy,\n     literature, theatre, film, visual art and more. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Cushendun-s-Big-Arts-Weekend-Cushendun-P78304\/\">Big\n     Arts Weekend<\/a> Cushendun, 3 \u2013 6 May. Cushendun\u2019s\n     Big Arts Weekend is a four day festival of music, drama, poetry,\n     exhibitions, workshops and family fun in one of the most beautiful villages\n     in the Glens of Antrim. The programme has something for everyone and many\n     of the events are free. While you\u2019re there make the most\n     of your trip and visit the spectacular caves featured in Game of Thrones\u00ae.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Dunluce-Castle-and-the-Giant-s-Causeway-Sea-Safari-Trip-Portstewart-P83453\/\">Dunluce\n     Castle and the Giants Causeway Sea Safari Trip<\/a>, Portstewart, 5 May. Take a journey along the\n     magical causeway coastline with Aquaholics and witness the stunning scenery.\n     Starting from Portstewart harbour, will sail along the Causeway Coast to see\n     the spectacular Dunluce Castle and the Giant\u2019s Causeway en route. &nbsp;As well as the amazing coastline, be on\n     the lookout for dolphins, seals and a wide range of seabirds. The tour\n     lasts two hours so don\u2019t forget to wrap up.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Deep-RiverRock-Belfast-City-Marathon-Dunmurry-Belfast-P83684\/\">Deep\n     RiverRock Belfast City Marathon<\/a>, Belfast,\n     5 May. &nbsp;Launched in 1982, the\n     Belfast Marathon makes history in 2019 by moving to a Sunday for the first\n     time ever. The event is expected to bring over 18,000 to Belfast.&nbsp; Though the vast majority of entrants are\n     local, &nbsp;registrations come from the USA,\n     Japan, Australia, across Europe and beyond. Whether you\u2019re a marathon\n     athlete, keen walker, fundraiser, interested in athletics at school or\n     simply love a challenge, there is an event to suit you. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/South-Down-Craft-Collective-Monthly-Market-Ballynahinch-P80582\/\">South\n     Down Craft Collective Monthly Market<\/a>\n     Ballynahinch, 4 May. Taking place on the first Saturday of each month at\n     the Market House, Ballynahinch, the markets showcase the work of local\n     artists, makers and food producers from South Down. Each month also has\n     different guest artists and makers. &nbsp;There\u2019s a wide variety of stalls throughout\n     the large foyer area and in the lovely Vincent Fulham Room, and a pop-up\n     cafe serving tasty homemade treats and that well deserved cuppa.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/The-Last-Ulster-Schooner-The-Sailing-Ship-Result-Holywood-P83471\/\">The\n     Last Ulster Schooner &#8211; The Sailing Ship Result<\/a>, Holywood, 29 April \u2013 5 January 2020.&nbsp; The Result was built in Carrickfergus\n     Shipyard, Co Antrim, for the coastal cargo trade. &nbsp;She is the last Ulster built ship left\n     out of the hundreds of small sailing ships that plied their trade around\n     the coasts of Britain and Ireland. &nbsp;Follow\n     her journey through the decades in this new exhibition and discover more\n     about her life as a Q-ship in the First World War fighting German\n     submarines, her starring role on the silver screen and her final voyage to\n     where she now sits overlooking Belfast Lough.<\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/The-Echlinville-Distillery-Tour-Tasting-Kircubbin-Newtownards-P83385\/\">The\n     Echlinville Distillery Tour Tasting<\/a>, Newtownards,\n     29 April \u2013 28 September. The Echlinville Distillery Tour and Tasting\n     offers a real insight into the workings of Northern Ireland\u2019s first newly\n     licensed distillery for over 125 years. Includes refreshments on arrival\n     at the historic Echlinville Manor House, a tour of the distillery\n     incorporating their state-of-the-art stillhouse and maturation warehouse,\n     followed by a tasting which includes two drinks of your choice from\n     Echlinville\u2019s range of premium spirits. A great day out for any spirits\n     enthusiast. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Ramble-on-Rathlin-Ballycastle-P80588\/\">Ramble\n     on Rathlin<\/a>, Ballycastle, 4 &#8211; 5 May. Join a\n     local guide and historian from Nine Glens Walking Tours on a short walk\n     discovering the island\u2019s history, heritage and industry. The gentle\n     circular walk lasts 1.5 hours, finishing at the harbour just outside the\n     Manor House and makes for a memorable day. The tour runs every Saturday\n     and Sunday between April and September. <\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Causeway-Coast-Challenge-Walk-Portballintrae-Bushmills-P78303\/\">Causeway\nCoast Challenge Walk<\/a> Bushmills, 5 May. The annual\nCauseway Coast Challenge Walk for 2019 is set to run again this year on Sunday\n5th May. This event is on its 41<sup>st<\/sup> year of operation and is run by\nlocal club Bannside Ramblers. The event continues to attract walkers from all\nover Ireland and further afield.
