Seaside Revival is a vintage festival celebrating Bangor\u2019s heyday as a thriving seaside resort. This FREE event will take place on Bangor Seafront on Saturday 6th\u00a0July, 2019 1-10pm.\u00a0 One of the highlights will be a special resurrection of the legendary \u2018Pickie to Pier Swim\u2019 \u2013 a summer staple on Bangor\u2019s calendar from 1910 to the 1970s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The “Heroes and Legends” exhibition makes its return to Armagh Observatory and Planetarium kick-starting their summer programme on 6th<\/sup> and 7th<\/sup> July.\u00a0 Come along anytime between 10:00am and 4:30pm and journey into the Copernicus Hall to meet some of the most iconic costumed characters from your favourite movies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sit back and relax by\nthe shores of Lough Erne for Music at the Lake at the National Trust\u2019s Crom\nEstate this Friday evening, 5th July, featuring local musicians the ‘Hand Me\nDowns’. <\/p>\n\n\n\n This Sunday 7th<\/sup>\nJuly visit a range of animals at Casey\u2019s Creatures, Ranfurly House Dungannon, including a meerkat, snake,skunk, hedgehog,\nowl, giant frog, armadillo and a raccoon dog! Pet and hold interesting and\nunusual animals while learning all about them at this interactive show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It’s\nthe season of Butterflies and Moths! Portstewart\nStrand is home to 18 different species of butterfly and moths and is among the\ntop 3 locations in Northern Ireland for finding some of these\nunique species. There will be fun for all the family this Saturday as\nyou join the rangers on the hunt to catch and identify the dunes’\nfluttering residents. Nets provided. Booking is essential as space are\nlimited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Organised\nin partnership with the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association, Northern Ireland\nBranch, approximately 70 pipe bands and 45 drum majors from UK, Ireland and\nAustralia are set to showcase their skills to battle for the prestigious All\nIreland Pipe Band Championship title this Saturday at Ballymena Academy Playing\nFields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Summer\nwith Claude is a fun filled workshop by Sixteen South where there will an\nopportunity to make an ice cream scratch art magnet, paint an ice cream money\nbox, get seaside tattoos, watch an exclusive Claude episode, take part in\ncolouring competition and take home a special Claude gift.<\/p>\n\n\n\n For further details on these events and to add your events free\ngo to whatsonni.com<\/a>.
