DiscoverNorthernIreland.com\nhas stacks of fun things to do across NI, from family days out to gigs and\ncultural events. Here are ten exciting things taking place this week (15-21\nJuly)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.       The\n148th Open<\/a>, Portrush, 14-21 July. The 148th Open will be played at Royal\nPortrush, marking a historic return to Northern Ireland for golf\u2019s original\nmajor after nearly 70 years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.       Linenopolis<\/a>,\nBelfast, 1 July-31 August. Linen Hall Library showcases Linenopolis, a major,\nnew exhibition celebrating, examining and spotlighting the historic social and\nindustrial linen industry of Belfast and Northern Ireland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.       Carryduff\nForklift Down Rally<\/a>, Lisburn, 20 July. The Carryduff Forklift Down Rally is back at the Eikon\nExhibition Centre and Balmoral Park for a second year and promises to be an\naction packed day filled with adrenaline fuelled fun for all the family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.       Live\nat The 148th Open Portrush<\/a>, Portrush, 15-21 July. To mark the historic\nreturn of The Open to Portrush, the seaside town will be transformed into a hub\nof entertainment, live music and markets to explore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.       Armoy\nRoad Races ‘Race of Legends’<\/a>, Armoy, 20-27 July. The world famous road\nraces take place once again in and around the picturesque County Antrim village\nof Armoy. The three mile circuit harks back to the 1970\u2019s and the days of the\nlegendary Armoy Armada including the famous Joey Dunlop, but has been brought\nbang up to date by the organisers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.       Day\nWalk – Slieve Binnian & North Tor<\/a>, Newry, 20 July. Enjoy a day walking\nin the beautiful Mourne Mountains, summit Slieve Binnian and admire impressive\ngranite tors, with a multi-lingual, qualified Mountain Leader.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.       Nautical\nPast Short Sea Cruise<\/a>, Bangor, 16 July. Learn more about significant\nlandmarks on the coastline and be sure to look out for the fascinating variety\nof wildlife. As you head towards Groomsport Bay and then onwards towards\nOrlock, you will learn about the history of the area and its seafaring past. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.       LegenDerry\nStreet Food Festival<\/a>, Derry~Londonderry, 19-21 July. Set in Guildhall\nStreet this three-day festival will bring together the very best of local\nstreet food, complemented by craft drink producers. Live DJ music sets, beers\nserved from a double decker bus and a totally unique dining experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.       Guns\nof the Siege<\/a>, Derry~Londonderry, 20 July. Follow the soldier to the Siege Museum\nand see how he fires a replica Siege Musket. Visit the Siege Museum and\nconverse with characters from the Siege. Museum guides will be present to\nanswer your questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.   Nendrum\nMonastic Site Tour<\/a>, Comber, 13 July. Enjoy this guided tour of Nendrum,\nthought to have been set up by St Machaoi in the 5th Century and with links to\nSt Patrick in later sources, the monastery consists of three round dry stone\nwalled enclosures, one within the other<\/p>\n\n\n\n
