DiscoverNorthernIreland.com\nhas stacks of fun things to do across NI, from family days out to gigs and\ncultural events. Here are ten exciting things taking place this week (12-18\nAugust)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.       ISPS\nHanda World Invitational<\/a> , Ballymena, 14-18 August.  The event\nformally known as the NI Open, the most successful and best attended event on\nthe European Challenge Tour, has been transformed into a new global event for\nmen and women professionals, playing at Galgorm Castle Golf Club. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.       Stendhal\nFestival of Art<\/a>, Limavady, 15-17 August. A unique weekend festival like no\nother. The multi-award winning Stendhal Festival returns to Ballymully Cottage\nfarm. With a packed programme of music, comedy, poetry, art, a dedicated family\nprogramme and much more, Stendhal is a cavalcade of creativity for all. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.       Summer\nCinema at City Hall<\/a>, Belfast, 17-18 August. Tickets are on a first come\nfirst served basis for this outdoor cinema at City Hall. With a line-up of\nhousehold favourites including Inside Out, Toy Story 3, Jurassic Park and Pitch\nPerfect, there\u2019s sure to be something for everyone. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.       Moira\nFood and Drink Festival<\/a>, Moira, 15-16 August. Moira Food and Drink festival\nhosts a number of food related events including dining, food sampling, a comedy\nnight, a pub quiz, masterclasses, a street party and much more.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.       Groomsport\nMusic and Fireworks<\/a>, Bangor, 17 August. A full day of events including\nfamily fun at Cockle Row Cottages and a fun fair at the Harbour. Then later in\nthe evening enjoy music from local band 19th<\/sup> Street Band and the\nofficial Debbie Harry and Blondie tribute band before the fireworks display. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.       Causeway\nCoast Truck Festival<\/a>, Portstewart, 17-18 August.\nThe festival will see over 600 of the finest show and working trucks from all over\nIreland gather in this legendary venue on the North Coast. Trucks are also\nvisiting from Scotland, Wales and England, each of them competing for 25 top\nprizes, including the main prize of Truck of the Show. The festival will also\ninclude a Kids\u2019 Zone, a Food Trade Village and live entertainment on the Anchor\nComplex live stage. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.       Larne\nFlower Show and Summer Market<\/a>, Larne, 17 August. The Larne Flower Show\ngives the opportunity to see what\u2019s best in flowers and locally grown fruit and\nvegetables as well as home baked delights. On offer during the day will\nbe  market stalls from the Naturally North Coast and Glens Market, as well\nas children\u2019s entertainment, including friendly farm animals, live music, face\npainting, scarecrow-making, nest box building and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.       Walled\nCity 400<\/a>, Derry~Londonderry, 18 February 2019 \u2013 31 March 2020. March 2019\nmarked the 400th anniversary of the completion of the Walls. To celebrate this,\na full and vibrant programme has been developed featuring an eclectic range of\nmusical ensembles, dance audio plays, historical and contemporary exhibitions,\nsymposiums, films, living archaeology demonstrations and workshops, visual arts\nexhibitions and much more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.       Ballycopeland\nWindmill: See the Sails Turning<\/a>, Newtownards, 18 August. \nBallycopeland Windmill is the only remaining working windmill in East Down. It\nwas built in the late 18th or early 19th century and was worked until the First\nWorld War when it fell into disrepair. It was gradually restored between 1950\nand 1978 to full working order. Enjoy exterior tours on Sunday 18th August as\nthe sails will be released to turn from 11:00 – 16:00. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.   Kids\nNature Trail<\/a>, Bangor, 14 August. Learn all about the natural habitat of the\nbirds and animals who live in the picturesque grounds of Castle Park, Bangor.\nTour departs on foot from the North Down Museum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
