As\npart of the \u2018Taste the Island\u2019 initiative for 12 weeks\nDiscoverNorthernIreland.com will have the top three food experiences and events\nin their weekly  10 things to do listing. DiscoverNorthernIreland.com has\nstacks of fun things to do across NI, from family days out to gigs and cultural\nevents. Here are ten exciting things taking place this week including three\nfood experiences and events (30 September \u2013 6 October)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1.       Taste\nthe Island on Rathlin Island<\/a>, Rathlin Island, 4-5 October.  Slemish\nMarket Supper Club presents \u201cTaste the Island on Rathlin Island\u201d. Hosted by two\ntop chefs in two top venues, this weekend showcases the best of NI food and\ndrink. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.       Sustainable\nSeafood Soir\u00e9e<\/a>, Belfast, 4-11 October. This event being held at Fish City\nrestaurant is aimed at seafood lovers who strive to be a conscious consumer.\nEnjoy a two-course seafood meal while hearing Fish City\u2019s aim for\nsustainability and taking home a copy of \u2018The Good Fish Guide\u2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.       The\nRandox Northern Ireland Potato Festival<\/a>, Bushmills, 5 October. This\nfestival at the Causeway Hotel, brings together members of the public and the\nfarming community in a celebration of all aspects of the local potato industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4.       Waggy\nRaces – The Castle Ward 5k<\/a>, Strangford, 6 October. Waggy Races is a 5k fun\nrun where you can enter as a runner, jogger or walker, with one or two dogs or\nin a pack, two runners and one dog. Race entry includes admission to Castle\nWard, goody bags and prizes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5.       Irish\nVegan Festival<\/a>, Belfast, 6 October.  The aim of this festival at the\nEuropa Hotel, is to promote a vegan diet, sustainability and animal welfare in\na positive atmosphere. It offers a range of stalls selling amazing vegan\nproducts ranging from cakes to jewellery to makeup and more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

6.       Hatch<\/a>,\nStrabane, 5-6 October. This performance at the Alley Arts Centre introduces you\nto Bl\u00e1ith\u00edn, who loves caterpillars, moths and butterflies. Follow her on her\nadventurous journey with Uncle Rusty to find Pearl, the most extraordinary\nbutterfly with the most exquisite colourful wings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

7.       Irish\nGin and Cheese Pairing<\/a>, Belfast, 3-4 October.  Taste and Tour have\nteamed up with industry experts to bring together an exciting evening,\ncombining two of life\u2019s greatest pleasures, gin and cheese.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

8.       Broighter\nGold Farm Tour<\/a>, Limavady, 4-5 October. Visitors will tour the farm, before\nvisiting the sheds and learning how the Broighter Gold journey started. Press\nand bottle your own Broighter Gold oils, before visiting The Lime Tree\nrestaurant for lunch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

9.       Autumn\nWellness & Natural Remedies<\/a>, Ballycastle, 6 October. Learn how to make\nnatural remedies to help aid a healthy and nourished autumn with Broughgammon\nFarm including a range of teas, honeys and gels. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

10.   Signature\nFull Day Food Tour<\/a>, Whitehead, 5 October. Hosted by Toast the Coast, this\ntour celebrates Northern Ireland food & drink as you journey by coach along\nthe stunning scenery of the Causeway Coastal Route, with food tastings at each\nstop, light guided commentary and a meet & greet with locals to hear their\nstories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
