{"id":17979,"date":"2019-10-15T13:24:16","date_gmt":"2019-10-15T12:24:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=17979"},"modified":"2019-10-15T13:25:02","modified_gmt":"2019-10-15T12:25:02","slug":"invasion-from-planet-x-comes-to-north-down-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2019\/10\/invasion-from-planet-x-comes-to-north-down-museum\/","title":{"rendered":"Invasion from Planet X comes to North Down Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>On Friday 25 October, North Down Museum, Bangor is bracing itself for some intergalactic visitors when \u2018Invasion from Planet X\u2019 takes place in its historic building<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/press.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-17980\" width=\"500\" height=\"333\"\/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Find out of if you could\nsurvive an alien invasion at this fun event which is part of&nbsp;a series of after dark happenings across Northern Ireland,\nto encourage over 18s to try a different kind of night out at their local museum.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the night, museum\nvisitors can expect storm trooper performances, escape rooms, alien walkabouts,\nlive music and more!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is adults-only\nwith an on-site&nbsp;bar, food, live music and a DJ, all the ingredients for a\ngreat night out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Speaking about the\nevent, North Down Museum\u2019s Manager, Heather McGuicken said: \u201cAfter the success\nof last year\u2019s Zombie event, we are thrilled to host Invasion from Planet X. We\ndo hope people will come along and enjoy this unique experience \u2013 something\ndifferent for Halloween!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students from South Eastern\nRegional College are involved in the night and will be showcasing their\nartistic and theatrical skills with a fantastic programme of alien-themed\nantics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u2018Invasion From Planet X\u2019 will\ntake place on Friday 25 October in North Down Museum, from 8.00pm to 11.00pm.\nTickets for this strictly over-18s event are \u00a310 and available to book\nonline:&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/invasion-from-planet-x-tickets-70136537271\">https:\/\/www.eventbrite.co.uk\/e\/invasion-from-planet-x-tickets-70136537271<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is\npart of \u2018The Late Shift\u2019&nbsp;\u2013 a series of after-dark, adults-only happenings\nin museums across Northern Ireland this autumn.
