Here are ten exciting things taking place this week including three\nfood experiences and events (04 \u2013 10 November 2019)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>1.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/The-Hillside-Game-Evening-Hillsborough-P84634\/\">The-Hillside-Game-Evening<\/a>\nHillsborough, 7 November. The Hillside are offering an experience like no other\nthis November. Join them for a five-course gourmet meal focusing on local\nCounty Down game. The Hillside chefs work with Hillsborough\u2019s local gamekeeper\nto source the best game produce from wild duck to rabbits and venison. A\nbespoke menu will be created and paired with fine wines, and a Copeland gin\nreception will welcome guests on the evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Winter-Cookery-Demonstration-by-Ian-Orr-Londonderry-Derry-P85319\/\">Winter-Cookery-Demonstration-by-Ian-Orr<\/a>\nDerry~Londonderry, 9 November. In celebration of Taste the Island, join the\ntalented Chef Patron Ian Orr for a winter cookery demonstration. Ian will share\ntips for preparing amazing meals at home, and the demonstration will be\nfollowed by a delicious three-course meal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Fire-Feast-Ultimate-Game-of-Thrones-Tour-with-2-Night-stay-Galgorm-Resort-Cullybackey-Ballymena-P84817\/\">Fire-Feast-Ultimate-Game-of-Thrones-Tour<\/a>\nBallymena, 7 \u2013 14 November. This Game of Thrones themed tour will include a\nfull day fire and feast experience visiting several filming locations, with\nthemed food and drink tastings, outdoor cooking, plus carving and spear\nthrowing. The tour will also include a visit to the Game of Thrones\u00ae Doors carved\nfrom fallen trees of the Dark Hedges. This tour includes a two night stay at\nthe four star Galgorm Spa and Golf Resort, a full Irish breakfast and use of\nthe thermal spa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nmni.com\/whats-on\/rua-saturday-tours-2019\">RUA-Saturday-Tours-2019<\/a>\nBelfast, 9 November. Guided tours of this year&#8217;s Royal Ulster Academy\nexhibition led by experts in contemporary art and as well as exhibiting\nAcademicians. These tours last approximately 40 minutes and offer audiences new\ninsights into the 389 works in this year\u2019s exhibition. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/An-Evening-of-Music-and-Dance-Belfast-P85392\/\">An-Evening-of-Music-and-Dance<\/a>\nBelfast, 8\u2013 9 November. Enjoy an Evening of Music and Dance as\nBirmingham Royal Ballet\u2019s world-class orchestra showcases the Royal Ballet\nSinfonia, under the baton of Northern Ireland\u2019s own Paul Murphy. Alongside the\ncompany\u2019s internationally-acclaimed dancers will be Belfast-born Melissa\nHamilton, the rising star of the sister company The Royal Ballet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/World-Wars-Coach-Tour-Bangor-P83544\/\">World-Wars-Coach-Tour<\/a>\nBangor, 9 November. On this tour you will have the opportunity to visit three\nkey sites: North Down Museum, Grey Point Fort and the Somme Museum, along with\nother sites that link to momentous events including the Battle of the Somme and\nD-Day. A knowledgeable guide will entertain you with some interesting facts\nthat might surprise you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Loughbrickland-Poin-to-Point-Banbridge-P85256\/\">Loughbrickland-Poin-to-Point<\/a>\nBanbridge, 9 November. Loughbrickland point-to-point is the perfect day out for\nall the family. Unlike most racecourses, spectators can stand beside one of the\nfences and get close to the winning post for a bird\u2019s-eye view of the thrilling\naction. The track is also the perfect location for a picnic where you can enjoy\nthe action whilst entertaining friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/2019-Boat-Fishing-Competition-Portrush-P79442\/\">Boat-Fishing-Competition<\/a>&nbsp;\nPortrush, 2 November \u2013 7 December. Portrush Yacht Club is proud to host the\n2019 Boat Fishing Competition series in conjunction with Causeway Lass. In\naddition, a raffle will also take place on the day and all prizes will be\nawarded in Portrush Yacht Club after the event. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/The-Lurgan-Lectures-Lurgan-and-the-1641-Rebellion-Lurgan-Craigavon-P85386\/\">Lurgan-and-the-1641-Rebellion<\/a>\nCraigavon, 5November. In this lecture Dr. Naomi McAreavey of\nUniversity College Dublin will examine the events of the 1641 Irish rebellion\nand the impact it had on the emerging town of Lurgan. Her talk will be based on\nan analysis of the witness statements taken during the 1641 depositions, which\nprovide eyewitness accounts of the events in question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Space-The-Final-Frontier-A-Conversation-with-NASA-Scientist-Dr-Sarah-Noble-Belfast-P85234\/\">A-Conversation-with-NASA-Scientist-Dr-Sarah-Noble<\/a>\nBelfast, 6 November. NASA scientist Dr Sarah Noble will present on lunar\ngeology in the past, present and future.
