Ards and North Down Borough Council has just launched its latest Arts and Heritage Guide. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The colourful Spring edition, covering the January to April period is filled with an abundance of opportunities to enjoy the new Arts and Heritage Programme. From events to creative classes, exhibitions, arts experiences for children and everything that\u2019s happening at North Down Museum, make sure you pick up your copy today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the\nNew Year comes plenty of opportunity for hands-on art and craft activity with\nthe creative class and one-day workshop series at Ards Arts Centre including\ntraditional stone carving techniques and two special Easter Floral Art classes.\nThe Outreach Workshop Programme will \u2018bring the arts to you\u2019 with a series of\ncreative classes in Comber, Holywood, Kircubbin, Donaghadee and Carrowdore. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Music\nlovers will be pleased with the return of the popular Friday Night Live and\nMusic in the Chamber series of events with Chris Keys, Wilfie Gilbert and Cup\nO\u2019Joe performing at Ards Arts Centre while King Cedar, The Dime Notes and\nCormac Neeson will grace the stage at Bangor Castle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nfantastic Dyad Productions return to bring Queen Elizabeth I to life at The\nSpace Theatre or visit The Worst Caf\u00e9 in the World for an immersive theatre\nexperience brought to you by Big Telly Theatre Company \u2013 one thing you won\u2019t\nget is good food!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring is\nshaping up to be a busy time at North Down Museum too.  On Friday 14 February, the museum will be\ninvaded by wee ones for the Toddlers Take Over the Museum event. This popular\nevent is a chance for your toddler to experience arts, crafts, story-telling\nand dancing through the theme \u2018Vikings\u2019. The museum is also hosting a wealth of\nfascinating exhibitions over the coming months, exploring the Borough\u2019s Maritime\nHeritage, the skill and tradition of crochet, VE Day and lots more. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking\nabout the new programme; Emily Crawford Arts and Heritage Manager with Ards and\nNorth Down Borough Council said: \u2018If your New Year\u2019s resolution is to get\ncreative, engage more in culture or simply to explore your local heritage then\nwe have an activity for you! The Arts and Heritage Team look forward to\nwelcoming you in the New Year with an exciting programme of events and\nactivities to suit all tastes and abilities.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n
