Join NI Science Festival as\nthey celebrate the science of you, the universe and everything in between.\nThese events present some of the best scientists from NI and beyond to discuss\ntheir work, cutting-edge research and what the future might hold. During the\nday, the festival offers a range of workshops, talks and interactive activities\nfor young people, parents and schools. In the evening there will be an eclectic\nmix of scientific debate, talks, theatres, comedy, music and film for adults.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>2.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Northern-Ireland-Puddle-Jumping-Championships-Comber-Newtownards-P85926\/\">Northern-Ireland-Puddle-Jumping-Championships<\/a> <strong>NI\nPuddle Jumping Championships<\/strong> Newtownards, 15 \u2013 20 February. Put on your\nwellies, get out into nature and have a splashing time. Come rain or shine, the\nPuddle Jumping Championships are the perfect activity for a fun filled family\nday out. Splash about in the \u2018practice puddles\u2019 throughout the day and get-set\nfor the daily competitions with splash-tastic prizes to be won!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>3.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Belfast-Restaurant-Week-2020-Belfast-P85894\/\">Belfast-Restaurant-Week-2020<\/a> <strong>Belfast\nRestaurant Week 2020<\/strong> Belfast, 17 \u2013 23 February. This February, treat\nyourself to some self-love and indulge in dining out during Belfast Restaurant\nWeek. Due to its phenomenal popularity, this week-long initiative is returning\non 17-23 February. It will run across some of Belfast City Centre\u2019s most loved\nrestaurants, bars and hotels, where the best in local produce can be found in\nwhat has become the country\u2019s unrivalled food and drink scene. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>4.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Silent-Light-Castlerock-Coleraine-P86094\/\">Silent-Light<\/a> <strong>Silent Light<\/strong> Coleraine, 9 \u2013\n23 February. Visitors will be steeped in the landscape, embarking on a silent\nwalk to Mussenden Temple which sits perched at the edge of a 120ft cliff\noverlooking the North Atlantic Ocean. Within the Temple, an installation of the\nartist\u2019s \u2018Stained Moons\u2019 artwork awaits. The viewings will take place in\nsilence and in darkness, after twilight, for fourteen nights in February. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>5.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Riverdance-25th-Anniversary-Show-Belfast-P85614\/\">Riverdance-25th-Anniversary-Show<\/a> <strong>Riverdance 25<sup>th<\/sup>\nAnniversary Show<\/strong> Belfast, 19 \u2013 22 February. Since it began, Riverdance has\ntoured the globe. The show has been performed over 12,160 times and seen live\nby over 27.5 million people in 546 venues worldwide. Now it is time to\ncelebrate another milestone on that journey. The 25th Anniversary show\ncatapults Riverdance into the 21st century and will completely immerse\naudiences in the extraordinary and elemental power of its music and dance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>6.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Winter-Supper-Club-New-York-Londonderry-Derry-P86036\/\">Winter-Supper-Club-New-York<\/a> <strong>Winter Supper Club\n\u2013 New York<\/strong> Derry~Londonderry, 21 February. Take a trip to the streets of\nNew York for an unforgettable night at the Walled City Brewery. Think beer, hot\ndogs and American sliders &#8211; you\u2019ll be living the dream. Walled City Brewery\nwill be working with Lo &amp; Slo on this one so you will be in for a treat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>7.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Dragon-From-The-Lagan-Goes-To-W5-Belfast-P85922\/\">Dragon-From-The-Lagan-Goes-To-W5<\/a> <strong>Dragon from\nthe Lagan goes to W5<\/strong> Belfast, 17 February \u2013 16 April. Children are born\nnatural scientists, so why not bring them to W5 to let them imagine, explore\nand play in Discovery. In this 45 minute workshop they\u2019ll follow the adventures\nof a small, friendly dragon as he makes his way to W5 to discover a world of\namazing science. Children can then enjoy some simple science craft activities\nand a variety of building challenges all with a maritime theme! So step\non-board this February for the ultimate family day out<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>8.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Life-Cycles-by-Lorna-Smyth-Enniskillen-P85768\/\">Life-Cycles-by-Lorna-Smyth<\/a> <strong>Life Cycle by Lorna\nSmyth<\/strong> Enniskillen, 2 December 2019 \u2013 18 April 2020. This showcase of new\nworks, curated by renowned artist Lorna Smyth, encompasses the four seasons in\none year. Lorna&#8217;s art emphasises the world around us, highlights her love of\nnature and captures a sense of belonging regardless of the place name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>9.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Bene-and-Cormac-Belfast-P86133\/\">Bene-and-Cormac<\/a> <strong>Bene and Cormac <\/strong>Belfast,\n22 February<strong>. <\/strong>This is a free event part of the Gradam Ceoil TG4. Bene and\nCormac won BBC Radio Scotland\u2019s Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2019.\nTheir debut album Wavelength has taken the traditional music scene by storm and\nthey themselves are at the forefront of a wave of amazing young Irish and\nScottish musicians taking up the mantle. Don\u2019t miss their gig at the Discover\nUlster-Scots Centre. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>10.&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<a href=\"https:\/\/discovernorthernireland.com\/Six-Nations-Live-Music-Session-with-The-Muddlers-Club-Band-Belfast-P86047\/\">Six-Nations-Live-Music-Session-with-The-Muddlers-Club-Band<\/a>\n<strong>Six Nations Live Music Session with the Muddlers Club Band <\/strong>Belfast, 23\nFebruary.The Muddlers Club come armed with guitars, fiddle, bodhr\u00e1n,\nbanjo, whistles, flute, harmonica, ukulele, drums and whatever comes to hand.\nGigging around festivals, weddings and trips abroad as often as possible, they\nreally are a band not to be missed.
