FINAL FOUR \u201cOUR THURSDAYS\u201d BANDS CHOSEN TO SHOWCASE THEIR TALENTS IN A BID TO SHARE THE STAGE WITH SNOW PATROL ON ARTHUR\u2019S DAY.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Guinness\u00ae & Co today announced the talented four bands who have been selected by a panel of music industry experts to move forward to the \u2018Our Thursdays\u2019 National Showcase in Lavery\u2019s, Belfast on 9th<\/sup> September.<\/p>\n

\u2018Our Thursdays\u2019, this year\u2019s addition to the Arthur\u2019s Day celebrations, honouring the remarkable legacy of Arthur Guinness, gives emerging Irish acts the incredible opportunity to be part of the Arthur\u2019s Day artist line up on 23rd<\/sup> September alongside amazing international artists including Snow Patrol.<\/p>\n

At the Regional Showcase in Belfast last night, Empire Saints<\/em> secured a place in the National Showcase on 9th<\/sup> September. They will be joined by Reko<\/em>, Maud in Cahoots<\/em>, and Dave Peyton<\/em> who also secured their places at the Regional Showcases in Cork, Dublin and Galway last night.<\/p>\n

The panel of judges involved in the selection of these lucky bands is comprised of music industry experts including members of Snow Patrol, Director of Talent at MTV Europe, Matt Cook and Editor of Hotpress Magazine, Niall Stokes.<\/p>\n

Speaking about the four bands, Jonny Quinn from Snow Patrol said \u201cThe level of talent that we have seen from the Our Thursdays showcases has been incredible. It has made our job as judges extremely difficult. We look forward to playing alongside one of these guys on 23rd<\/sup> September.\u201d<\/p>\n

At the National showcase on 9th<\/sup> September, 3 of the bands will be selected to play official studio venues in Cork, Galway and St James\u2019s Gate Brewery on Arthur\u2019s Day alongside amazing international artists including home grown global phenomenon Snow Patrol and multi-platinum artist Paolo Nutini.<\/p>\n

As well as the incredible opportunity to perform to a crowd of thousands on Arthur\u2019s Day, the best three bands will also receive studio time, a digital release with Universal and will find themselves splashed all over the cover of Hot Press magazine in a special feature, with full details to be revealed at the National Showcase.<\/p>\n

Our Thursdays events and Arthur\u2019s Day celebrations are strictly over 18\u2019s events.<\/p>\n
