{"id":2024,"date":"2010-08-28T17:19:09","date_gmt":"2010-08-28T16:19:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/?p=2024"},"modified":"2010-08-28T17:20:26","modified_gmt":"2010-08-28T16:20:26","slug":"west-to-east","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2010\/08\/west-to-east\/","title":{"rendered":"WEST TO EAST"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At dawn on Saturday the 9<sup>th<\/sup> October two Limavady Rotarians intend to proceed on the journey of a life time.<\/p>\n<p>They will be cycling from the West Coast of Ireland in Sligo to the East Coast of Northern Ireland \u2013 all inside 36 hours!<\/p>\n<p>Brave Rotarians Peter Jack and Darren Mornin, this year\u2019s Limavady President and President elect intend to be MAMILl i.e. middle aged men in lycra.\u00a0 It will be frightening sight!<\/p>\n<p>They are raising money for Rotary charities before and during the event and all donations will be gratefully received!<\/p>\n<p>Darren in particular is honing himself to a new level of fitness \u2013 he does his exercises every morning, up down, up down &#8211; \u00a0then he races the other eyelid as well!<\/p>\n<p>They hope to finish at about 6. 00 p.m. on Sunday the 10<sup>th<\/sup> and I am trying to work a way of trying to get from Newcastle, back to Limavady without having to sit down&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>Sam McCrea (with cowboy hat), will drive the support bus for the 3 days needed to ensure they complete the cycle marathon.\u00a0 The bus will be decked with buckets which will welcome coins being thrown at it &#8230;. sorry, try to aim for the buckets!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/rotary.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-2025\" style=\"border: 4px solid black;\" title=\"rotary\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/08\/rotary.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"711\" height=\"402\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At dawn on Saturday the 9th October two Limavady Rotarians intend to proceed on the journey of a life time.
