{"id":20486,"date":"2022-09-05T11:55:51","date_gmt":"2022-09-05T10:55:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=20486"},"modified":"2022-09-05T12:04:28","modified_gmt":"2022-09-05T11:04:28","slug":"mission-santa-blasts-off-again-for-christmas-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2022\/09\/mission-santa-blasts-off-again-for-christmas-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"\u201cMISSION SANTA\u201d BLASTS OFF AGAIN FOR CHRISTMAS 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Following on from last year\u2019s success, Armagh Observatory and Planetarium is once again planning an out of this world experience for families across Northern Ireland as it launches this year\u2019s Mission Santa event.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Ready to blast off for its third year, the spectacular space pantomime has been created by BNL Productions to get Armagh Observatory and Planetarium\u2019s visitors into the festive spirit.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-20487\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/09\/press-1024x768.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"509\" height=\"382\" \/>Along with Marzipan the Elf, visitors to the event will be able to help save Santa from inside mission control during an immersive and theatrical show.<\/p>\n<p>The exciting experience includes access to an exclusive dome show, titled the \u2018<em>The Alien who stole Christmas.<\/em>\u2019 The show will be displayed in the magical star dome theatre, and every child in attendance will receive a present and a printed family photograph.<\/p>\n<p>Education and Outreach Manager at Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, Sin\u00e9ad Mackle, said: \u201cFollowing on from the <em>resounding success of Mission Santa in 2019 and 2021, we are excited to welcome visitors to the 2022 event.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis enchanting adventure captures the magical essence of Christmas in a unique experience, harnessing the wonders of space and the drama in a live theatrical show.\u00a0 The high demand for tickets over the last few years has ensured that Mission Santa is a must-see festive event that children and adults alike will not forget.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mission Santa lasts 90 minutes and will run every Saturday and Sunday from 19<sup>th<\/sup> November \u2013 23 December. Pre-booking is essential as places are limited.<\/p>\n<p>There are also a number of relaxed performances and school bookings are available. Tickets are \u00a320 per child and \u00a318 per adult.
