These ideas will be captured online, packed-up in a crate and transformed into exciting event experiences.\u00a0 In an epic finale on 27<sup>th<\/sup> November, the world will swap nights, with each country exchanging the best of their nightlife with that of another.<\/p>\n<p>The Smirnoff Co. believes in doing things differently: that when you overturn convention or simply change one of the ingredients of a night out, you can create something special, something extraordinary \u2013 a night you look back on and are proud to say \u201cI was there\u201d. Part of the \u201cBe There\u201d campaign, The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project, the brand\u2019s most audacious mission yet, sees 14 countries embarking on a cultural exchange. Hailing from six continents, the 14 countries taking part &#8211; <strong>USA, GB, Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, Germany, India, Ireland, Lebanon, Poland, South Africa, Thailand and Venezuela <\/strong>&#8211; represent the many vibrant sights, sounds and tastes of global nightlife culture today, and will each bring a unique and exciting flavour to the project.<\/p>\n<p>Smirnoff Ireland Brand Manager Carol McHugh said, \u201cSmirnoff Ireland is delighted to be part of this exciting initiative, showcasing the best of Irish nightlife to a global audience. The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project is the most exciting example of creating a BE THERE moment yet\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Having already rallied a global online community of over 2 million like-minded people, The Smirnoff Nightlife Exchange Project puts these fans and the general public at its very centre.\u00a0 Via a dedicated hub on Facebook (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SmirnoffIreland\">http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/SmirnoffIreland<\/a>)<em>, <\/em>consumers are invited to make suggestions for what represents the best of nightlife.\u00a0 This might be a specific type of music, a locally-conceived cocktail or a fashion trend unique to a particular part of the world.\u00a0 Once the suggestions are in, it will be up to a local expert <strong>Curator<\/strong> in each country to decide what will represent the very best of each country\u2019s nightlife in the exchange.<\/p>\n<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Siobhan O\u2019Dowd<\/strong> is set to curate Ireland\u2019s crate. Siobhan, originally from Belfast,\u00a0is Director of Marketing at POD and former Entertainment officer at Trinity College Dublin.\u00a0 Siobhan has worked with POD, a well known music venue and has been one of the driving forces behind the bespoke Electric Picnic Music and Arts Festival (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.electricpicnic.ie\/\">http:\/\/www.electricpicnic.ie\/<\/a>), for the past nine years. Siobhan&#8217;s experience as part of the team behind the hugely successful Electric Picnic Festival is highly relevant to her role as Smirnoff curator.<\/p>\n<p>The vital ingredients of each country\u2019s nightlife will be revealed to the public on October 22<sup>nd<\/sup>.
