Starting on October 29<sup>th <\/sup>at 1 p.m, the official opening day of the caf\u00e9, the restaurant will welcome award winning Irish poet Olive Broderick, winner of the Templar Poetry Prize. In addition to poetry, their will be a early morning acoustic session from Paul Tully, the Strabane musician, from 10.30 a.m &#8211; 11.30 a.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_2339\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2339\" style=\"width: 313px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/alley1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2339 \" title=\"alley\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/10\/alley1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"313\" height=\"207\" \/><\/a><\/strong><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-2339\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">The Alley Theatre, Strabane<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOlive Broderick<\/strong> was a winner in the 2009 Templar Poetry Prize, with <em>Darkhaired<\/em> (to be launched at the Derwent Poetry Festival, Nov 2010)\u201d commented Nathan Flatman from the Alley. \u201cShe has previously been published in <em>Abridged, Sunday Tribune, Stinging Fly, Ulla\u2019s Nib,<\/em> and <em>Fortnight<\/em>. She has also received a Hennessy X.O Literary Award (Emerging Poetry Category) and read at Poetry Ireland\u2019s <em>Poetry Introductions<\/em> series in 2009. \u00a0We are delighted that Olive will be sharing some of her new work with a Strabane audience, which will be free to attend\u201c<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPaul Tully, will be singing a 1 hour set on October 29<sup>th<\/sup>, from 10.30 a.m. \u2013 11.30 a.m. during the official opening of the caf\u00e9, which will also see customers being tempted with some free treats from the delicious Caf\u00e9 horizon menu.
