With the theme <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Home?<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> as its focus, the festival runs from 31 January to 9 February across Belfast, offering a diverse programme designed to spark meaningful conversations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">From exploring the theology of homelessness to uncovering the history of Belfast\u2019s streets, this year\u2019s festival will push the boundaries of dialogue, reflection, and understanding.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here are six thought-provoking talks taking place during the festival in 2025.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><b> Caring for Our Earthly Home<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Sunday 2 February 2025 at 7PM<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jennymount Methodist Church, 222 North Queen Street<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr Lorna Gold, Chair of the Laudato Si\u2019 Movement, delves into our shared responsibility to care for the Earth in this compelling event. Drawing on her book <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Climate Generation \u2013 Awakening to Our Children\u2019s Future<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, Dr Gold explores how faith and action can address the threats of climate change.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Attendees will be challenged and inspired to consider how connections between humanity and the planet can create a more sustainable future. This enlightening discussion uncovers the stories behind the city\u2019s street names, exploring how layers of conquest, empire, and cultural shifts have shaped its identity.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Expect a deep dive into the rich tapestry of Belfast\u2019s heritage, brought to life through music, conversation, and fascinating insights.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"3\">\n<li><b> Home in a Time of Homelessness<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Tuesday 4 February 2025 at 7:30PM<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">St Comgall\u2019s, Divis Street<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Homelessness takes many forms, and this powerful talk by Siobh\u00e1n Garrigan, Loyola Professor of Theology at Trinity College Dublin, challenges modern theology\u2019s understanding of \u2018home\u2019. Siobh\u00e1n explores the intersection of theology, consumerism, and nationalism, presenting a revolutionary idea of home as \u2018participating instead of possessing.\u2019\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The event features music by Caroline Orr, Norman McKinley, and Peter Greer, creating an atmosphere of reflection and hope.<\/span><\/p>\n<ol start=\"4\">\n<li><b> Can We Bring Reconciliation Home?<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Thursday 6 February 2025 at 7:30 PM<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/i><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">St Mary\u2019s College, 191 Falls Road<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">How far has Northern Ireland progressed on the road to reconciliation? Rev.
