{"id":23677,"date":"2025-02-05T14:52:51","date_gmt":"2025-02-05T13:52:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=23677"},"modified":"2025-02-05T14:52:51","modified_gmt":"2025-02-05T13:52:51","slug":"creative-events-to-inspire-children-at-young-aspects","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2025\/02\/creative-events-to-inspire-children-at-young-aspects\/","title":{"rendered":"Creative Events to Inspire Children at Young Aspects"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>After a successful first year in 2024, Young Aspects is back with a weekend of writing and book events for young people and families.<\/h4>\n<p><strong>Presented by Aspects Festival and Ards and North Down Borough Council, the programme offers a range of creative children\u2019s events suitable for all ages. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-23678\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/1-Copy-2-1024x683.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/>Taking place from 28 February \u2013 2 March, at various locations around Bangor, the diverse programme of reading, writing and art events promises to inspire young imaginations.<\/p>\n<p>The renowned <em>Book Doctors<\/em> presented by <em>Children\u2019s Books Ireland<\/em>, will be holding free \u2018Book Clinics\u2019 at Bangor Carnegie Library on Saturday 1 March. Come and see the Doctor with a difference! The Doctors will give each patient a unique \u2018consultation\u2019 and a personal prescription, recommending books based on the patient\u2019s particular interests!<\/p>\n<p>Local writer Tessa Ann from the Sound Healing Spa will bring her Sound Bath experience to Bangor Castle, alongside readings from her book, <em>Magical Sounds with Echo Ta Ta and Friends <\/em>for a delightful family event.<\/p>\n<p>Young Aspects also features the ever-popular Woodland Chew and Yarn, a Digital Art Workshop, Book Binding, Writing Workshops, a Cosy Bedtime Story event and more! All perfect for your little readers, writers and artists.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking about the programme, The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Alistair Cathcart said: <em>\u201cThis year\u2019s Young Aspects programme offers wonderful opportunities for children to explore literature and unleash their creativity. With a fantastic lineup of events, I would encourage everyone to book tickets and join in the fun.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Aspects Festival Director, Patricia Hamilton said: <em>\u201c<\/em><em>\u2018Aspects Festival is delighted to offer this collection of workshops and events which have stories and writing at their core but presented outside the classroom through different mediums and for all ages.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Young Aspects will run from 28 February \u2013 2 March at various locations around Bangor.
