Suzy O\u2019Keefe, Head of Digital and Communications, Design & Crafts Council Ireland (DCCI),\u00a0<\/strong>said, \u201cWe at Design & Crafts Council Ireland are thrilled to once again work with Craft NI on\u00a0the all-island\u00a0August Craft Month.<\/p>\n \u201cThis is the fourth year we\u2019ve\u00a0partnered to\u00a0generate and\u00a0promote\u00a0August Craft Month\u00a0events, and we\u2019ve seen increasing engagement from craft makers across the island, introducing new audiences to ways to take part in craft.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0.<\/p>\n \u201cIt is a fantastic opportunity for people to take the plunge into the craft world, to see the amazing craft happening in their local communities and across the country.\u201d<\/p>\n Katherine McDonald, Director of Craft NI<\/strong>, said, \u201cAugust Craft Month is a fantastic platform to honour and acknowledge the skilled makers we have right on these shores.<\/p>\n \u201cWith over 400 events last year, we want to encourage as many makers as possible to take part and we are delighted to see the applications already from councils, arts venues, guilds, galleries and individual makers.<\/p>\n \u201cFrom hands-on experiences to inspiring talks, we welcome a variety of craft events.
