Derry-Londonderry is set for a serious musical takeover this March as Walled City Music Festival returns from 12\u201315 March 2026 with a razor-sharp programme built for everyone- the seasoned concert-goer, the curious first-timer, and anyone who simply wants to feel something live. <\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"Expect powerhouse piano, high-voltage violin and richly coloured chamber music, performed by world-class artists in the heart of the city. Set within one of Derry\u2019s most charming historic churches, admired for its elegant stained glass and beautifully resonant acoustics,\u00a0Christ Church Derry\u00a0offers a warm, welcoming and perfectly suited setting for festival performances.<\/p>\n

At the centre of the 2026 line-up are international piano star\u00a0Martina Filjak, the debut of the\u00a0Walled City Music Chamber Orchestra<\/strong>, virtuoso violinist\u00a0Kirill Troussov\u00a0with pianist\u00a0Alexandra Troussova, and renowned soprano\u00a0Ailish Tynan.
\nThe festival is shaped by its co-artistic directors- Derry-born pianist\u00a0Cathal Breslin\u00a0and flautist\u00a0Sabrina Hu- whose international performing careers place them firmly at the heart of a weekend of world-class music-making.<\/p>\n

Piano Concertos: Passion & Power – Thu 12 March, 7.30pm | <\/strong>Christ Church, Derry-Londonderry<\/strong><\/p>\n

The festival opens with\u00a0Piano Concertos: Passion & Power<\/em>, featuring international piano star\u00a0Martina Filjak\u00a0and co-artistic director\u00a0Cathal Breslin\u00a0in landmark piano concertos by Edvard Grieg and Camille Saint-Sa\u00ebns, performed\u00a0with the Walled City Music Chamber Orchestra<\/strong>. This opening night marks the orchestra\u2019s inaugural appearance as part of the festival. \u00a315\/\u00a310<\/p>\n

Impressions in Sound: Debussy and Beyond –\u00a0Fri 13 March, 7.30pm | <\/strong>Christ Church, Derry-Londonderry<\/strong>
\nA bold, sensory programme for flute, viola and harp- from Claude Debussy and Sir Arnold Bax to newly commissioned Irish works, performed by Sabrina Hu (flute), David O\u2019Doherty (viola) and Cl\u00edona Doris (harp).\u00a0\u00a315\/\u00a310.<\/p>\n

Romantic Virtuosity: Violin and Piano –\u00a0Sat 14 March, 7.30pm | <\/strong>Christ Church, Derry-Londonderry<\/strong>
