The initiative carries the simple yet powerful message that strong communities are built when people come together with openness, understanding, and mutual respect.\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-24866\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6-1024x639.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"312\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6-1024x639.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6-300x187.jpg 300w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6-768x480.jpg 768w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6-1536x959.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/1-6.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>The project is being delivered as part of Council\u2019s support for International Women&#8217;s Day on 8 March 2026. The International Women\u2019s Day message will feature on the bus advertising, highlighting the important role women play in shaping inclusive, resilient and connected communities.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">It is hoped that the four-week campaign will encourage all members of the public to actively support inclusive communities in their everyday lives, whether by celebrating diversity, challenging stereotypes, supporting equality, or simply reaching out to others.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Mayor of Causeway Coast and Glens, Councillor Oliver McMullan, commented:<\/b><br \/>\n\u201cThis important initiative will reach all areas of Causeway Coast and Glens, encouraging each person to play an active role in promoting inclusion in their everyday life.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\u201cInternational Women\u2019s Day 2026, and its theme of \u2018Give to Gain\u2019 reminds us that building equality and inclusion is everyone\u2019s responsibility and particularly on International Women\u2019s Day we should all acknowledge the important role women play in our communities.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\u201cWe can all make a difference when we treat one another with respect.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Chair of Causeway Coast and Glens Borough Council\u2019s Women\u2019s Working Group, Councillor Amy Mairs, said:<\/b>\u00a0\u201cInternational Women\u2019s Day is a global celebration of women\u2019s achievements and a call to action for greater equality.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\u201cThis Borough-wide initiative encourages us all to consider how we can support inclusion in our daily lives. When women thrive, communities thrive.\u201d<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\"><b>Council\u2019s Good Relations Officer, Joy Wisener added:<\/b>\u00a0\u201cGood Relations is about promoting more positive attitudes towards other people, even when they differ from us in their religious belief, political views, race or culture.<\/div>\n<div class=\"x_elementToProof\">\u201cBy linking this initiative with International Women\u2019s Day, we are reinforcing the message that inclusive communities benefit everyone.
