The much\u2011loved programme, presented by Fiona Bruce, will bring its team of expert valuers to the ground of the historic building on Sunday 26 July.<\/h4>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><strong>Visitors will have the opportunity to share their antiques, family heirlooms and vintage treasures with specialists covering jewellery, silver, ceramics, glass, pictures, rare books, clocks, watches, militaria and a wide range of collectable categories &#8211; from vintage fashion and furniture to film and music memorabilia.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright wp-image-24950\" src=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7-1024x701.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"342\" srcset=\"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7-1024x701.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7-300x205.jpg 300w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7-768x526.jpg 768w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7-1536x1052.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/03\/1-7.jpg 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/>As well as Bangor Castle the following locations will also feature in the upcoming series: Dartington Estate, near\u00a0Totnes, Devon, Valentines Mansion &amp; Gardens, Ilford, East London, Souter Lighthouse, South Tyneside\u00a0and Caerphilly Castle, South Wales.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Presenter Fiona Bruce, who will be filming her nineteenth series\u00a0of Antiques Roadshow, commented:<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">\u201cAntiques Roadshow is gearing up to start filming a new series and every year\u00a0I\u2019m\u00a0blown away by the variety and volume of objects shared with our team of specialists. There are always exciting moments of suspense and surprise when it comes to valuations as well as reassuring appearances of old favourites from diamond jewellery to fine\u00a0china.\u00a0I\u00a0love meeting our visitors and hearing the personal stories behind their objects and\u202fwe\u2019ll\u00a0be travelling around wonderful venues across the\u00a0UK.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Speaking ahead of the visit, Robert Murphy, Series Editor, said:<br \/>\n\u201cThe Roadshow is for everyone, and we\u2019re looking forward to seeing those special items that mean something to our visitors. In recent years, we have seen a fantastic range of mementoes and treasures: ceramics by Picasso and paintings by Jack Vettriano, a medal for gallantry awarded to a pigeon, a rare Oasis demo tape and a cartoon by John Lennon, letters from poet Dylan Thomas, gold sovereigns and valuable watches by Omega and Patek Phillippe, a jewel-encrusted ballerina brooch valued at \u00a340\u2013\u00a350,000, and items belonging to one of the founders of the SAS. We can\u2019t wait to find out what treasures and surprises we\u2019ll see at this year\u2019s shows.\u201d<i><\/i><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Gillian McCollum welcomed the announcement, saying:<br \/>\n\u201cWe are delighted to host Antiques Roadshow at Bangor Castle. This is a fantastic opportunity for local people and visitors alike to showcase their treasured items in a beautiful and much\u2011loved setting.
