10 years ago Pocket Billiards played their first gig in Giro\u2019s, Belfast.<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

Today\u00a0they are still going strong and will mark the occasion with a huge show in\u00a0Belfast\u2019s Mandela Hall on May 12th 2012. \u00a0Not only will this celebrate 10\u00a0years of Pocket Billiards’ madness, it will also be the launch of the band\u2019s\u00a0eagerly awaited second studio album \u2018Last Chance to Dance\u2019. There will be\u00a0support from local acts Axis Of, Bomb City 7 and just announced on the bill\u00a0Chewing on Tinfoil from Dublin. \u00a0Make no mistake – Pocket Billiards are\u00a0planning one massive party, and it’s not one to be missed! \u00a0So get your\u00a0dancin\u2019 shoes on and get ready to celebrate 10 years of Belfast\u2019s finest ska-punkers!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Pocket Billiards are a 9-piece band from Belfast that fuse ska, reggae and dub with punk rock<\/div>\n
and heavy riffs, creating an energetic and powerful sound. The band have been performing<\/div>\n
and touring for over 10 years and have played with some of the best ska and punk artists in<\/div>\n
the world – The Specials, Bad Manners, The Selecter, The Slackers and The Undertones to<\/div>\n
name but a few. Following the release of their debut studio album back in 2009 Pocket<\/div>\n
Billiards have since attracted the attention of fans and critics from across all music genres –<\/div>\n
you don’t have to be a fan of ska to like this band!<\/div>\n
In 2011 Pocket Billiards were nominated for \u201cBest Live Act\u201d in the first ever Northern Ireland<\/div>\n
Music Awards. They are well known for creating an infectious party atmosphere at their live<\/div>\n
performances and can stir even the tamest of crowds up into a storm. 2012 promises to see<\/div>\n
the band release their much anticipated second album and undertake a mammoth European<\/div>\n
tour, as well as perform at a plethora of festivals and events.<\/div>\n
