{"id":4532,"date":"2012-05-24T12:09:29","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T11:09:29","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/?p=4532"},"modified":"2012-05-24T12:09:29","modified_gmt":"2012-05-24T11:09:29","slug":"what-are-your-teenagers-doing-this-summer","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/whatsonni.com\/news\/2012\/05\/what-are-your-teenagers-doing-this-summer\/","title":{"rendered":"WHAT ARE YOUR TEENAGERS DOING THIS SUMMER?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong> <\/strong><\/p>\n<h1>The summer holidays are always a tricky time to entertain your teenagers \u2013 that is if you can get them out of bed!<\/h1>\n<h2>An exciting opportunity exists this summer for an International Drama Summer Course.<\/h2>\n<p>The course is being held at Campbell College from 2<sup>nd<\/sup> \u2013 29<sup>th<\/sup> July and is run by Madrid based international drama and communication experts, Interacting. It offers teenagers the chance to improve their drama and communication skills and a unique opportunity to mix with children from all over Europe.\u00a0 The Interacting team working on the school chosen both locally and from abroad are all experienced actors and educators.<\/p>\n<p>During the course students will be trained in techniques of comedy, improvisation and circus during workshop time.\u00a0 Using these skills they will work towards a series of performances for a final show performed at Campbell College theatre and broadcast live on the internet to parents and friends in participating countries.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of workshop time there will sports activities as well as the chance to share and learn of other cultures through exchanges of dance and cookery.<\/p>\n<p>Company director, Ed Cousins said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWorking through drama and sport builds confidence, we have been running successful schemes all over Europe for the past 20 years with many students coming back year after year.<\/p>\n<p>This is a brilliant opportunity for young people from here and abroad to get together share experiences, have fun and learn a lot\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Costs for the course are 4 weeks \u00a3350, or 1 week for \u00a3120 \u2013 this includes all workshops, sports activities and lunch.<\/p>\n<p>To make a booking please contact wendy@interacting.info<\/p>\n<!-- AddThis Advanced Settings generic via filter on the_content --><!-- AddThis Share Buttons generic via filter on the_content -->","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The summer holidays are always a tricky time to entertain your teenagers \u2013 that is if you can get them out of bed!
