WITH the recent success of the Irish Open,\u00a0Northern Ireland is maintaining its status as\u00a0the\u00a0\u201cgolfing capital of the world\u201d and\u00a0the Northern Ireland Tourist Board (NITB)\u00a0is encouraging everyone to explore golf courses across the country with the launch of a new golf guide.<\/h2>\n

Northern Ireland professional golfer Gareth Maybin was at Dunluce Castle to help NITB\u2019s Karen Hope launch a new golf guide, \u2018Northern Ireland Made for Golf\u2019. NITB is encouraging everyone to explore golf courses across the country using the new guide which has been distributed to tourist information centres, golf clubs and hotels across the country and is aimed at everyone from the dedicated golfer to the enthusiastic novice. It provides a list and map of over 90 very diverse courses in every county from the world-renowned such as Royal Portrush or Royal County Down to hidden gems such as Galgorm Castle in Ballymena or Ardglass Golf Club in County Down. The guide,\u00a0\u2018Northern Ireland Made for Golf\u2019 has been distributed to tourist information centres, golf clubs and hotels across the country\u00a0and\u00a0is aimed at everyone from the dedicated golfer to the enthusiastic novice.<\/p>\n
