Funded by D.A.R.D through the Northern Ireland Regional Food Programme, the Christmas Market is a truly seasonal experience.<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ChristmasMarket.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-full wp-image-5188\" title=\"ChristmasMarket\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/11\/ChristmasMarket.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"534\" height=\"305\" \/><\/a>Come along and enjoy browsing and sampling the locally produced artisan food and drink.\u00a0 Or take time to unwind in our heated lounge where you can experience a craft beer, hot mulled wine or even just sit and relax. \u00a0Complete with a bandstand where musicians, local carol singer and school children will perform over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>Magherafelt District Council is pleased to host, for the second consecutive year, a craft fair as part of the Christmas Market.\u00a0\u00a0 Visitors to the Christmas Craft Marquee will be inspired and amazed by the variety, quality and originality of the hand-made craft products and gifts on display.\u00a0 There may even be a few special characters on display too!<\/p>\n<p>Children will have the opportunity to enter the magical world of chocolate at the Aunt Sandra\u2019s Candy workshops, and learn how to make seasonal chocolate lollipops.<\/p>\n<p>Local Butchers are participating, with the hope of being crowned the winner of \u2018Battle of the Butchers 2012\u2019 Christmas sausage competition.\u00a0 Each participating butcher will be creating a new festive sausage just in time for Christmas.\u00a0 These sausages will be on sale in the participating Butchers on the run-up-to the Christmas Food Market, with people being encouraged to sample and vote for the one they like best.<\/p>\n<p>Once again, the very popular \u2018Cup Cake Challenge\u2019 will be taking place.<\/p>\n<p>There will be three categories, \u201cThe Most Delicious\u201d, \u201cThe Prettiest\u201d and \u201cThe Most Festive\u201d.
