The event is being organised by Newtownabbey Borough Council in association with Ballylagan Organic Farm.<\/h2>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_2446-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-5729\" title=\"IMG_2446 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/IMG_2446-2-300x205.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"205\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Come along and see Celebrity Masterchef Finalist and Scrapheap Challenge personality, Dick Strawbridge, show off his culinary talents and create some tasty dishes using locally sourced produce provided by Ballylagan Organic Farm. A one hour long cookery demonstration will take place at 2.30pm in the theater foyer so make sure you don\u2019t miss it!<\/p>\n<p>Speaking at the launch of the event Mayor of Newtownabbey, Alderman Victor Robinson commented;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThis is going to be a great family day out and get ready to have your taste buds seriously tempted with all the delicious produce on offer.\u00a0 All proceeds from the event will go to my three charities: Epilepsy Action NI, Alzheimer\u2019s Society and Reach.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><br \/>\n<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/image001-21.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-5733\" title=\"image001 (2)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.whatsonni.com\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/05\/image001-21-300x74.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"74\" \/><\/a>In addition there will be family entertainment with face painting, arts&amp; crafts, balloon modelling, jazz music and a vast array of craft, gift and produce stalls including Rustic Country Crafts, Abernethy Butter and Cogry House Preserves.\u00a0 Weather permitting why not pack a picnic and sit back and enjoy the market atmosphere in the civic square!<\/p>\n<p>Tickets cost \u00a35 per adult, \u00a32.50 per child and a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) \u00a310 and need to be purchased before the event.
