A cantankerous hospital chairperson, an unwelcome Police Sergeant and an unbalanced youth all add to chaos that ensues.<\/p>\n

From 1st July, call in to any public library to get your Big Reading Relay Race Card. Each time you return your books, your Race Card will be stamped to keep track of your personal best.\u00a0 Fun library events will be held and, if you finish your race, you will receive your winner\u2019s certificate. \u00a0Why not encourage your mum and dad to enjoy the Big Reading Relay by taking part too?<\/p>\n

The Belfast School of Performing Arts present Seussical Jr. at Stranmillis University College this Friday and Saturday. The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust containing Whos, including Jojo, a Who child who gets in trouble for thinking too many “thinks.” Horton faces a double challenge–not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left to his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping, and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant!\u00a0 SEUSSICAL JR. is fun for the whole family in this wildly unusual & exciting musical full of imagination!\u00a0 This is an amateur production performed by the children of the Belfast School of Performing Arts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
