This talented creative team have channeled their impressive skills into a dramatic re-staging Carmen.\u00a0 Updating the action to the present day, stripping it back and setting it in a gritty urban landscape.\u00a0 It is Carmen alright, but not as we know her.<\/p>\n<p>Irish mezzo-soprano, Imelda Drumm is powerful in the title role, and she leads the talented cast with dominant force as the feisty anti-heroine. Sin\u00e9ad Campbell Wallace steps in as Mica\u00ebla for this October run, with Owen Gilhooly as Escamillo and OTC YAA Maria Hughes in her professional operatic debut as Mercedes.
