A group of 16 ladies from mid Ulster will be going head to head in the boxing ring at the Elk Bar and Restaurant in Toome on 25th<\/sup> October in aid of Cancer Focus.<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>The ladies , who have been in training for the last 8 weeks, will lace up their gloves for this unique pink collar boxing event and take their friendly rivalry to the next level to raise money for the charity.<\/p>\n

As well as training hard the ladies have been working hard to raise sponsorship for Cancer Focus.\u00a0 Cancer Focus are your local cancer champion, here to help you and your family if you have cancer.\u00a0 They help your community take positive steps to a healthier life, to lower your risk of cancer, and are determined to bring a more hopeful future by working for better public policies and funding ground-breaking research.<\/p>\n

Tickets for \u201cFit to Fight Cancer<\/strong>\u201d are priced at only \u00a310 for what promises to be a night to remember with some eye candy for the ladies at the drinks reception and between bouts.<\/p>\n

Three judges and referee Patsy Hurl will oversee every round.\u00a0 Compere for the evening is Mr John O\u2019Donnell with the main event followed by a disco and dancing late into the evening with Seamus Hasting on the decks followed by live music.<\/p>\n

The fun begins at 8pm and tickets can be purchased at the Elk in advance or at the door on the evening. \u00a0 Organisers Cathy McPeake and Johanna McCorley were amazed by the response to participate\u00a0 and are encouraging\u00a0 the public to come along for a night out with a difference \u2013 Pink Collar Boxing\u00a0 – Think Pink!<\/p>\n
