Theatre at The Mill in association with Mr Hullabaloo presents Disney\u2019s\u00a0Beauty and The Beast Jr<\/em><\/strong>.<\/h2>\n

\"\"<\/a>The creative team responsible for the hugely successful pantomimes at The Courtyard Theatre bring Disney\u2019s adaptation of a classic tale to life in an enchanting new production, directed and narrated by Mr Hullabaloo with a talented cast drawn from Theatre at The Mill\u2019s Home Spun and Summer Youth Theatres.<\/p>\n

Mr Hullabaloo and his team are established and popular children\u2019s entertainers.\u00a0 Hullabaloo\u2019s collaborations with Newtownabbey Theatres include sell-out pantomimes at The Courtyard Theatre including\u00a0Jack and The Beanstalk<\/em>,\u00a0Aladdin<\/em>,\u00a0Cinderella<\/em> and\u00a0Snow White and the Seven Dwarves<\/em>, as well as his fairytale-inspired Tea Parties.\u00a0 The principal roles will be performed by graduates of the highly successfully Theatre at the Mill Summer Youth Theatre and include\u00a0Maria Sweeney<\/em> acting the role of Belle, and\u00a0Aaron Kavanagh<\/em>, performing the role of Lumiere.\u00a0 Members from Newtownabbey Home Spun Youth Theatre will also perform in this especially written junior version of the musical, and will feature in key supporting roles and as part of the main company.<\/p>\n

Originally produced by Disney Theatrical Productions,\u00a0Beauty and the Beast<\/em><\/strong> is a musical fantasy romance, based on the traditional French fairy tale of the same name by Jeanne-Marie Le Prince de Beaumont. One of the most popular and critically acclaimed musicals,\u00a0Beauty and the Beast<\/em> focuses on the relationship between the Beast, a prince who is magically transformed into a hideous monster as punishment for his selfishness, and Belle, a beautiful young woman who he imprisons in his castle.<\/p>\n

The show that will be produced in Newtownabbey will feature all the popular songs including Academy Award winning title track\u00a0Beauty and the Beast<\/em>,\u00a0Be Our Guest<\/em> and\u00a0Belle<\/em>, as well as additional songs written by Howard Ashman and Sir Tim Rice.<\/p>\n

Newtownabbey Home Spun Youth Theatre School nurtures future stars of stage and screen with weekly tuition throughout their course, leading to exams and professional qualifications for members with ambitions to develop a career in theatre, and makes available to the Youth Drama School the opportunity to participate in a professional performance. The Youth Drama School most recently participated in Theatre at The Mill\u2019s Christmas comedy\u00a0Eternally Scrooged<\/em>.<\/p>\n
